I'm waiting with excitement for the release of Tori Amos' next studio opus The Beekeeper, which is supposed to hit the record store shelves next month. A number of Toriphiles were not too impressed with Scarlet's Walk, though it provided me with much pleasure as I played it over and over again for over six months three years ago. I liked that more than From the Choirgirl Hotel and Boys for Pele, as a few of their selections were too weird for my taste. But overall, I adore her work.

I'm wondering if the rumors about Paula Abdul's new album are true. The supposed title is hammy -- Paulaticks of Love. But, hey, if the songs are good, who am I to argue?

And who has heard of TIffany's album The Color of Silence? I just read an interview published in The Manila Bulletin that makes mention of that obscure collection, apparently having seen release just a few years ago. Well, she's having a concert here with fellow 'retro' acts Taylor Dayne and someone else. That should be fun for all you eighties pop folks.

A few days ago, I downloaded about a dozen songs produced by gay artists, and the range is impressive. Showcasing their prowess in genres from rock to rap to Christian to electronica, these songsters prove that homosexuality is definitely not confined to showtunes, and there is that wish that they make it big despite their sexuality. Musical artists usually out themselves once they reach the peak of their careers. I hope these new batch of talents buck the trend.

I haven't been doing the karaoke thing for weeks. I really haven't found the mood to do so yet, barring the fact that I don't have the money to address the vice. There are a whole lot of new songs to study, and I'm sure the gang has added selections to their repertoire, damn them. (Heheheh.)

Tori is great... she got weirder and weirder with every album (Nice pic of her "breastfeeding" that sleeping piglet in the Boys for Pele sleeve!) but she's very talented... Liked Choirgirl Hotel a lot. :)

Tiffany's grown-up album, everybody's raving about that. Curious tuloy ako.

Oh, Rufus Wainwright is a gay artist... heard a few of his songs... download mo yung duet nila ni Dido ("I Eat Dinner), ang galing!
