I've been looking through the online statistics published by the National Statistics Office and the National Statistics Coordination Office and here's some bits to chew on:

The population of the National Capital Region (NCR) is close to 10 million.
As of the year 2000, there were 2.13 million families in the NCR.
As of the year 2000, less than 10% of these families were considered living below the poverty line.
Roughtly 31% of the population is between 20 and 35 years old.

After picking at my molars over these bits, I'm led to believe that a potential comics market in the National Capital Region alone could be no lower than one million people. Gawd, imagine a mere 5% of them buying your book... that's still 50,000 copies.
